6061 Aluminum tread checkered plate sheets

The 6061 T6 aluminum tread plate has the highest corrosion resistance of all the aluminums that have been heat treated. It is an alloy that has been formed with silicon and magnesium. It has a lower strength than other comparable aluminums, but is still widely used. This is partly due to its corrosion resistance and partly due to its excellent mechanical properties. There are a variety of ways you can form 6061 aluminums, such as through machining and welding. The machinability rating of this alloy is 90 percent. It also has great joining capabilities. If needed, this product can be anodized or have other coatings applied.

The applications 6061 aluminum alloys are frequently used for include base plates, truck components, marine fittings, marine components, marine hardware, electrical connectors, electrical fittings and camera lens mounts. This is only a few of the wide array of applications this alloy is used for. It also has the capability to be used for heavy duty structures that need corrosion resistance and good weight-to-strength ratio.

Hot treating and cold working can also be used for 6061 alloys. When in the annealed state, cold working can be easily performed, creating an end product that is cut, stamped, drilled, deep drawn, bent or tapped. These can all be achieved using standard cold working methods.
When heat treating this alloy, thorough heating should be done at 990 degrees F, and then be water quenched. For precipitation hardening, the metal should be placed in 320 degrees F for 18 hours, air cooled, then placed in 350 degree F for eight hours, and then air cooled again.

Indestructible and resilient despite low weight

6061 Aluminum tread checkered plates sheets are very resilient against aggressive substances and therefore, they regarded as indestructible. Due to their durability, they are used in many different areas because they do not lose their shape or look, even after a long time. Whether industrial floors, airplanes, ships and vehicles, or stairs indoors or outdoors -6061 aluminium checker plates are a popular material which is appreciated for its excellent properties, the high resilience and the low weight. Even designers use these plates due to their decorative look.

Attractive pattern ensures slip resistance

During production, the pattern is applied to the plate by forming rolls which are pressed onto the plate with a large force. In doing so, the bottom of the plate remains plain. It is not possible to emboss the aluminium plate subsequently.
Due to the diagonally finned structure, the plate becomes slip-resistant which is why it is also suitable for use outdoors and in wet areas. In addition to the finned structure, there are many other shapes and patterns which provide the same characteristics.

Depending on the type of plate, 1 to 5 bars are arranged next to each other, forming a checked pattern. It is differentiated between 1 bar(diamond), 2 bar, 3-bar and 5-bar patterns.

Application

A. 6061 Aluminum tread checkered plate sheet has good skid resistance. So it is usually used in the loading ramps, trench covers, dock flooring, stair treads and even for the car, truck, ambulance and fire truck.
B. It has the decorative function, so it can be used as decoration wall panels, cabinet and ceilings.
C. Because of the anti- corrosion, it can be used in the chemical industry, or in the decoration of the ship and port facilities.
